The Historic Pearl: a Beautiful LGBT Engagement Session in San Antonio!

First and foremost: You can’t go wrong with engagement photos at The Historic Pearl!

Not only is The Pearl the best spot in San Antonio for urban-meets-nature engagement photos, but it’s also a special place for Hannah and C Lad. They spend most weekend mornings here at the farmers market, strolling around and enjoying the atmosphere. It was absolutely the right choice for their engagement session location.

There’s so many photo ops/things to do at The Pearl. We started at the patio near Pullmans Market and Fife & Farrow. A weeknight is the perfect time to go, because it’s not as hectic as the weekends, but still has a buzzing energy.

The Couple: Hannah and Catherine (C Lad)✨

I have the absolute honor of being Hannah and C Lad’s 2026 wedding photographer! When we discussed where to do their engagement photos, they mentioned The Historic Pearl. They have both lived in San Antonio for 2 years now, and find themselves gravitating towards the beautiful spaces and architecture of downtown. Hannah being in the Interior design field, also seemed to be a perfect match.

Stepping in front of the camera and having your photos professionally taken can be awkward. These two handled their session like total champs. We walked around getting to know each other, while I made cheesy jokes. I absolutely can’t wait to photograph their wedding in February!
